Certification means that MacNeal underwent a rigorous onsite review by The Joint Commission and adheres to a specific set of treatment guidelines that prioritize the delivery of high-quality care to all patients affected by stroke.
MacNeal Hospital’s Stroke Program has achieved the American Heart Association/American Stroke Association Stroke Gold Plus Quality Award for applying the most current evidence-based guidelines to improve patient care and the Target Stroke Honor Roll Elite Award for Time to thrombolytic therapy within 60 minutes in 50 percent or more of applicable acute ischemic stroke patients.
