What insurance plans are accepted?

We accept most private insurance, Medicare and Medicaid, and replacement plans. Please call to confirm that we are accepted by your plan.

Can I be seen without insurance?

The Center for Internal Medicine has a self-pay policy:

  • Patients are asked to provide $50 deposit before the visit.
  • Level of billing is determined after visit, and additional cost may apply.
  • If payment is made at the time of the visit, there is a 50% discount.
  • Additional testing is the responsibility of the patient, cost and options discussed at the visit.

What are the Center's responsibilities to me as a patient?

  • We listen to your feelings and questions to help you make decisions and set healthy goals.
  • We provide the best possible care and advice based on current medical evidence. To do this, we must have information including a list of your medications, health status, recent test results, visits to specialists and data from recent hospitalizations or visits to the emergency room.
  • We refer you to trusted experts as needed.
  • We provide you with the education you need to best monitor your health care.
  • We end every visit with clear instructions about expectations, treatment goals, medicines and future plans.
  • We provide 24-hour phone access for urgent questions and concerns.
  • We keep your medical information and records private.

What are my responsibilities as a patient?

Patient responsibilities include:

  • Learning about wellness and preventing disease to make healthy decisions.
  • Learning what your insurance covers.
  • Being honest and thorough about your medical history, symptoms and changes to your health.
  • Telling us what medications you take and asking for refills during your office visits.
  • Telling us when you see other doctors, including any medications they have prescribed and asking them to send us a report about your care with them.
  • Taking medicines as prescribed and following your treatment plan, or informing us on why the plan is not working for you.
  • Keeping appointments as scheduled, or calling if you need to cancel.
