Interests outside of Medicine: I love traveling to new destinations, experiencing new cultures and discovering new food. However, as much as I like to explore and hang out with friends, I also enjoy spending my time at home, watching a movie or TV serie, and of course cooking something new!

What I like about MacNeal: A conducive environment is very important for learning, and that includes the people you work with. At Mac Neal, I have a 'family away from family'. What I like about MacNeal: I witnessed a friendly work atmosphere at MacNeal on my interview day. The staff who interviewed me seemed like they genuinely cared about their residents. Being a community program, it gives you an opportunity to learn from patients who present with diverse pathologies. MacNeal cares about its community and strives to impart a sense of service and compassion to its residents. Lastly, MacNeal is quite close to the beautiful city of Chicago.
Interests outside of Medicine: I have had a passion for cooking from a very young age. I enjoy trying out new recipes from around the globe. I also like to spend my time gardening, hiking, and learning about various cultures and ethnicities.

What I like about MacNeal: In MacNeal I was able to see how the residents treated everyone like family. The program was supportive of its members and emphasized community within the hospital. I feel privileged to be a part of Loyola medicine, its resources and its input within the medical field, and lucky to be a part of a diverse atmosphere that makes up MacNeal.
Interests outside of Medicine: I cherish spending time with my family and caring for my cats. I enjoy trying the best desserts along with finding a new great Sushi spot. I have always been a big fan of Star Wars since I was a child thanks to my Dad. Creatively I have always loved taking the time to practice oil painting, coloring and planning my next travel destination.

What I like about MacNeal: I love the overall family like atmosphere that I experienced the moment I stepped foot in the hospital. It is very apparent that the program not only assures the proper training of all their residents, but they also look after their mental health and wellbeing. The cherry on top is that the hospital is located minutes away from the best city in the world, Chicago.

Career Goals: Currently undecided about post-residency plans, but I am considering different fellowship opportunities.
What I like about MacNeal: I am originally from the Chicagoland area and this program allows me to give back to a community that I cherish. I enjoy the diverse population and cultures, and the interesting pathologies that come with it. I have family nearby, but I also value the camaraderie and supportive culture of the residents and faculty that foster a family-like environment in the workplace.
Interests outside of Medicine: I am a die-hard sports fan, especially when my beloved Chicago teams are playing. I enjoy spending time with family and friends, reading, learning, watching films/tv shows, and spending time outdoors.

Career Goals: My short-term goal for the next three years is to obtain the skills and knowledge necessary to become a competent and compassionate physician, to provide exceptional patient-centered care to all of my patients. What I like about MacNeal: It was clear to me since the beginning that MacNeal was an overall excellent program in which I’d be honored to be part of. MacNeal offers a positive learning environment that prioritizes compassionate patient care and resident education. What I like about MacNeal: Since the day of my interview, I knew this was the place where I wanted to train. I personally observed an environment of close camaraderie and mutual respect that involved everyone, from the administrative staff to the residents. The program itself is meaningful to me since it mainly focuses on giving back to the community. For me, coming from a developing country where healthcare is fragmented and limited, this gives me the motivation to work harder to serve others. I know MacNeal is the place where I will get the tools needed to accomplish this.

Its support for diversity, close knit family atmosphere, supportive faculty attracted me most to the program. Being in suburbs of Chicago gives me the chance to enjoy this fantastic city as well.

Interests outside of Medicine: I like spending time with family and friends. My favorite hobbies are sports, music and gastronomy. I like watching sports games but I am even more into practicing them. I am an amateur guitar player and I am trying to get better on it! I also enjoy cooking and learning new recipes.

Career Goals: My goal for the next three years of my career is to make the most out of the residency program at MacNeal, by learning what it takes to be a knowledgeable and experienced physician. Once I am done with my residency I might look forward to pursue a fellowship, given the state I will be after three years.
What I like about MacNeal: During my interview at MacNeal, I got a glimpse of the friendly and supportive work atmosphere, through the healthcare team, which I felt was a conducive environment to work. I also saw how the residents are very well taken care off and the education course is really well planned out. Hence I found it to be very suitable for me which is why I chose MacNeal.
Interests outside of Medicine: I am fond of dancing and I try to learn a new kind of dance form through classes. Recently I learnt Jive and found it to be the most appealing. During my free time, I get out of my home and hang out with my friends, explore nearby places. When at home I enjoy cooking and trying new dishes, while watching tv series.

Career Goals: I am interested in the challenging Cardiology and the intriguing rheumatology. I would like to pursue a fellowship after I further explore my options during my residency training.
What I like about MacNeal: Life knows what is best and gives it to us in ways we might not know. And I am happy to say that I have found a place so “family-like” which will be my home for the next few years. Residency is a period of rapid growth in our careers but at times, can also be very demanding physically, mentally and emotionally. And having supportive and understanding people around, I believe, is what makes this period fruitful. And of course, Chicago! Being near to the "Windy city" has its perks!!
Interests outside of Medicine: Books! I have a penchant for fiction, mythology, classics, philosophy and astrophysics. Playing strategy and simulation games on PC (especially with my brother). Traveling and adventure sports enthusiast. Carnatic music singer. Badminton for re-energizing. Yoga for relaxing. Creative writing and scrapbooking for “me time”. And I love to continue testing my skills in short film making (PS: Experimented twice so far).

What I like about MacNeal: Everyone at MacNeal including the program director, coordinators, attendings, and residents supported me through one of the toughest years of my life. It truly feels like family here. I really like that we get to treat and care for a diverse population of patients in our community. Being affiliated with Loyola also gives us access to great resources and learning opportunities.
Interests outside of Medicine: My greatest passion is pencil portrait drawing. I love to go to the gym, watch sumo wrestling and I am a huge Real Madrid fan. I always enjoy playing videogames, reading novels, and meeting people from different cultures.

MacNeal Hospital is at a wonderful location, you can enjoy living in the peaceful west suburbs, yet you are still only 20 minutes away from one of the most beautiful and exciting cities in the United States.

Interests outside of Medicine: I love traveling! I think exploring various cuisines and cultures is one of the best ways to spend my free time. I also enjoy spending time outdoors a lot; it could be anything from hiking in a nice trail to relaxing in a beach. I also love poetry, both writing and reading. Meditation, yoga and staying active are also part of my life!

Career Goals: I just started intern year and currently my goal is to stay open-minded and try to benefit from every rotation as much as possible.
What I like about MacNeal: The best part of the residency program so far is the camaraderie among residents. Despite having different cultural backgrounds there is so much more that we have in common. I think that all of us consider medicine and residency in particular as a team effort and working with people you laugh with and like to hang out outside of the hospital has such a great impact on the work environment. In addition, the faculty is approachable and invested in teaching. I moved to the U.S. for residency and wanted to be in a city with a high quality of life. I love living in Chicago and being within walking distance of the lake, parks and downtown with all its museums, bars and restaurants.
Interests outside of Medicine: Skiing; strolling, running or cycling along the shore of Lake Michigan; trying out new cuisines; watching my stocks rise; listening to classical and film music and currently growing basil and zucchini.

Interests outside of Medicine: I am an avid videogame player, proud holder of some regional and national awards in my country. I am always ready to spend time with friends and family. I enjoy exploring new places and food, and get to know different cultures and people. I like to cook and the experimentation in the kitchen. Although I am not a big fan of sports, I have a small business dedicated to sportswear retailing with my own brand, which nowadays I enjoy to manage during my free time because I am also interested in marketing and entrepreneurship.

What I like about MacNeal: MacNeal has a family like environment and good cultural diversity. The program leadership takes care of resident well-being, training and has an organized plan for education. I am quite confident that MacNeal will shape me into a well-rounded physician.
Interests outside of Medicine: I like swimming and listening to music. I love traveling and learning about different cultures and their history.

What I like about MacNeal: MacNeal fosters an atmosphere in which working every day is enjoyable. There is a good interaction between residents themselves and with the staff, as well as a lot of learning opportunities. With a diverse patient population to learn from, I feel MacNeal gives me an opportunity to improve my skills as a clinician.

What I like about MacNeal: I have found that MacNeal offers an amazing environment to grow not only professionally, but also as a person and I saw a snapshot of this during my interview day. Being here, I can say without a shadow of a doubt that there is a great network of support from everyone in the healthcare team; it feels like a big family. Every day is a thrill with new learning opportunities, from attending physicians and the diverse community of patients. The new alliance with Loyola Medicine entices me with new academic opportunities. Berwyn offers calmness and a relaxing atmosphere, while the closeness of Chicago allows you to explore exciting activities.
Interests outside of Medicine: Karaoke, going to the gym, watching action movies, visiting new restaurants and eating tons of great food, as well as spending time with my family, girlfriend and friends! P.S: I have not played soccer in a very long time, and I played again here with my co-interns and residents, who now I can call my friends!
